In the digital ecosystem, an influencer is, by definition, someone who creates a community and generates conversation around the content they publish. LinkedIn, a social network that connects professionals and entrepreneurs from across the globe, has selected Antonio Huertas, Chairman and CEO of MAPFRE, as an Influencer, in recognition of his activity on the platform.
Influencer status, accorded by invitation from the LinkedIn editorial team only, highlights the value of Antonio Huertas’s work in sharing his knowledge and ideas about topics such as business management, innovation and insurance industry-specific matters.
The MAPFRE Chairman and CEO has become the sixth Spanish person with LinkedIn Influencer status, joining Ana Botín, Executive Chair at Banco Santander; Santiago Iñiguez, President of IE University; Pau Gasol, professional basketball player; Dimas Gimeno, former President and CEO of El Corte Inglés; and Gabriel Escarrer, Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Meliá Hotels. On an international level, figures such as Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, and Bill Gates, US business magnate, software developer and philanthropist, also boast Influencer status.
Back in 2017, LinkedIn awarded Huertas the “Top Social Executive” at Spain’s PremiosIn awards thanks to the interest generated by his posts.
