The company in Mexico has issued a series of general recommendations to policyholders for costumer service

After the powerful earthquake registered in the capital of Mexico, MAPFRE has reinforced its customer service, establishing a dedicated phone line (01800-849-85-85) to channel claims reporting through the SI 24, which is active at all times. Said service is available 24 hours a day.

The company has issued a series of general recommendations for providing information to the company, like having the policy number and emergency numbers on hand, only using the phone in case of emergencies, dealing with precise information, and clearing the streets to allow emergency vehicles access to areas where there has been destruction.

In addition, in collaboration with Fundación MAPFRE, food and emergency supply collection sites have been opened in the company’s offices in Mexico City, Mexico State, Puebla, Cuernavaca and Veracruz, in order to help victims. Donations of food, personal hygiene articles, medication, medical supplies, blankets and baby bottles are accepted.

In Mexico City, emergency teams continue working today to rescue people trapped in at least 50 collapsed buildings.
