Street Smart TV is Fundación MAPFRE’s new project in Malta.

Street Smart TV is a fun 12-episode TV show presented by Sally and Jazz. The co-hosts address various topics, e.g. road safety, traffic signs and using seat belts. The episodes were designed so that children can work on an interactive board at the same time as they watch the show.

The series premiered recently at the Saint Nicholas College in Rabat, on the western side of Malta. Felipe Navarro, CEO of MAPFRE MIDDLESEA, represented Fundación MAPFRE at the event and spoke about the significance of this education program.

Maria McNamara represented Malta’s Education Ministry and asked students to be more careful and smart when they are out in the street by paying special attention when they cross the road or by not getting distracted with cell phones.

Street Smart TV complements the campaign Street Smart School. Launched two years ago, it consists of visits by actors to high schools to warn 10- to 16-year-olds of the dangers on the road and to teach them about road safety.

The complete seies was aired on One TV and will soon be available for free on the YouTube channel of Fundación MAPFRE.
