The Manager of the Accident Prevention and Road Safety Area, Jesús Monclús, receives the award at the Safe Kids conference held this week in Baltimore (USA)

Fundación MAPFRE has received the “Outstanding Global Network Member” award at the 2017 Safe Kids Worldwide Injury Prevention Convention, better known as PrevCon, held in Baltimore (USA).

Safe Kids Worldwide is a global organization aimed at protecting children from unintentional injuries, the main cause of death to children in the USA. The organization considers that Fundación MAPFRE has merited the award, thanks to its innovative accident prevention program, the capacity to establish alliances and the “extraordinary support” given to Safe Kids Worldwide.

The objective of Fundación MAPFRE is to raise society’s awareness on the importance of preventing accidents by encouraging and promoting responsible habits and safe conducts that prevent accidents or reduce the accident rates, in particular, those associated with fires and road safety.

“This is an important award for Fundación MAPFRE”, stated Jesús Monclús after receiving the award. “Raising the awareness of citizens on the importance of responsible behavior, even more for children, is essential to work in accident prevention and this is already part of the DNA of our organization”, he concluded.
