It will be discounting from its polices the portion of insurance premiums that cover professional activity during the State of Emergency period and is making new payment facilities available to all clients
MAPFRE has decided to support its self-employed and SMB clients in Spain, discounting from insurance premiums contracted with the company the portion corresponding to the days during which the State of Emergency is in effect, whose extraordinary measures to combat the spread of Covid-19 are preventing this community from running their businesses properly.
With this initiative, the insurance company hopes to help alleviate the difficulties being faced by self-employed individuals and SMBs, who are particularly affected by our current extraordinary situation. The measure will apply to all businesses, including those that have remained open.
The amount will be discounted from the first bill the client has to pay after the State of Emergency comes to an end, without the client having to request this or follow any procedures. The measure includes all insurance contracted with the company by self-employed individuals and SMBs to protect their businesses.
In addition, MAPFRE will be offering self-employed individuals and SMBs, as well as all their private clients, the possibility of paying most of their private and professional insurance in monthly installments over a one-year period, without interest or surcharges of any kind.
And to provide some relief for its clients, the company will be extending the payment period on bills for insurance contracted by SMBs and self-employed individuals up to a maximum of 60 days.
Finally, the insurance company is providing this community with information on public assistance approved by the Government to mitigate the effects of COVID-19. To learn more, they can visit the teCuidamos Empresa webpage at www.mapfretecuidamosempresa.com, where they can also find out about other public assistance available. On this page, company clients can also access their Client Areas and get information on their policies.
MAPFRE is Spain’s leading insurance company, with more than 742,000 self-employed and SMB clients in Spain. The company has implemented its Business Contingency Plan to deal with the current situation, with the dual objective of protecting the health of its employees, collaborators and clients, and maintaining the highest possible quality of service.
At the moment, about 95 percent of the insurance company’s employees in Spain are working remotely to reduce the risk of contagion and ensure service for clients.
