10 years have passed since the company acquired the Commerce Insurance Group, which later changed its name to MAPFRE Insurance, in what was the largest investment by the group in its history.

Since 2008, MAPFRE has improved its position twofold in the United States, which dates back 30 years. Currently, the company is the leading automobile and home insurance company in Massachusetts, and is present in 15 States, with offices in six of them, and 2,700 employees and 4,500 brokers and independent agents.
Antonio Huertas, Chairman and CEO of MAPFRE, congratulated them all in a video message, reminding all employees of their important role in the global family of the group, and that they share the same strategy, synergies and values, which will allow the company to make great progress with its digital transformation. Passion, commitment and engagement are essential to making the group one of the leading players worldwide.
The company lent its name to a soccer stadium, the MAPFRE Stadium, in 2015. That same year, MAPFRE acquired One Winthrop Square, a historic building located on the square of the same name, in the heart of Boston.

2017: The arrival of Verti Insurance

Last year, the company launched Verti Insurance in the state of Pennsylvania, offering its customers a fully digital experience complemented by personal advisors and simplification in all its processes. Verti Insurance has already received very positive comments from its clients.
