Becoming the first certified MAPFRE entity outside of IBERIA with this recognition.
In the current context, it has become even clearer that companies, both large and small, must be prepared for any contingency that might disrupt their work. MAPFRE MEXICO has obtained certification for its Business Continuity Management System with the UNE-EN ISO 22301 standard, becoming the first company to do so outside of IBERIA to receive this distinction.
This standard evaluates the planning, establishment, implementation, operation, review and ongoing maintenance of the BCMS (Business Continuity Management System), which helps to protect against, reduce the occurrence of, prepare for, respond to and recover from any incidents that may disrupt the company’s processes.
This certification supports the management of the SURETY and INSURANCE business units in their Life, Accidents and Illnesses, and Damage operations (including Automobiles), also including the Sales, Operations, Technical, Audit, Control, Technology and Processes, Human Resources areas and General Counsel, as well as their associated critical processes.
MAPFRE MEXICO’s ISO 22301 certification joins those previously obtained in the area of Business Continuity in MAPFRE ESPAÑA, MAPFRE RE, MAPFRE Global Risks, MAPFRE INVERSIÓN and the General Control Center (CCG-CERT). Together, these certifications establish MAPFRE as the benchmark insurer in this field in Spain.
