In the Responsible Companies ranking, it is also positioned as the sixth most responsible company in the country thanks to its sustainability practices

 

MAPFRE Mexico has positioned itself as the sixth most responsible company in the country thanks to its social actions, which stand out for generating high impact initiatives at a national level, and its high level of corporate and environmental responsibility.

The ranking that places MAPFRE in this privileged position was prepared by the journal Expansión in collaboration with the Schulin School of Business, based on three main pillars that qualify the company’s position in terms of salary equity, commitment, and social and environmental actions.

In all categories MAPFRE reinforced its commitment by obtaining scores well above those of its competitors in the insurance industry, obtaining a weighted score of 69.4, thus demonstrating respect for its collaborators by improving internal practices and emphasizing gender equity.

This recognition is an incentive in our progress towards the commitment to becoming a “Carbon Neutral” organization globally by 2030. MAPFRE is taking actions with a positive impact on the environment. For example, in Mexico City, all insured service vehicles are hybrids, which generates an estimated savings of 80 tons of CO2 emissions.

At MAPFRE, we have taken our commitment to creating a more sustainable world very seriously: the company cannot invest in firms whose revenues are 30% carbon-intensive. 3% of the workforce is made up of people with disabilities and 45% of the company’s positions of responsibility are held by women. These actions add up to generate social change that will expand and encourage a better community and society in general.
