Blockchain, drones and the management of major infrastructure on the agenda at the XXVI MAPFRE GLOBAL RISKS international seminars

Salamanca will host the twenty-sixth edition of the MAPFRE GLOBAL RISKS International Seminars, which will place the city at the center of the international insurance industry from June 5–7 and bring together more than 400 risk managers and industry specialists from over 20 countries.

The topical issues to be addressed at the event include insurance trends in different markets, blockchain and how to manage risk when building major infrastructure such as metro lines. Experts from countries including Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia will analyze how global risks are managed in different markets.

This forum is held every two years in a different Spanish city, and serves as a gathering place for players in the insurance industry to discuss the trends and challenges facing large risk managers. The event will also include roundtables where various topical issues relating to security will be addressed.

The International Award for Excellence in Risk Management, inaugurated this year, will be presented to the company that has carried out the best risk management work over the last two years. The award will highlight the best practices and culture in the field of risk management, prevention and protection.

MAPFRE Chairman and CEO Antonio Huertas and Carlos García Carbayo, mayor of Salamanca, will close the event next Friday, June 7.
